“Passion” and “passionate” are words that are often used by people to describe how they feel about their jobs.
In reality, most of us have the motivation and desire to get up and go to work each day for various reasons, but I do admire those of us who honestly enjoy our jobs and for recruitment consultants, it’s really important to understand just how driven and enthusiastic people are about doing their job.
However, I often get told by many people from all walks of my business life how passionate they are about their work and I now find the word adds a hollow edge to their comments, mainly due to the formulaic use of both “passion and passionate”. Have these now become overused buzz words.
